It's Snowing!

Can you believe snow in Southern California?!? We hit record lows in temperature here the last few days. My friend sent me these pictures, and sure enough, it was snowing in Southern California! He awoke New Years Day and this is what he saw. We were as low as 30 degrees at night, and for us spoiled Californians, that is down right cold! Here are the pics - what a sight to wake up to! Palm trees with snow on it, lol.

We are known in Southern California for our "warmer" days, even in winter. We would occasionally get some frost, but nothing like this. He lives only 15 miles from me. No snow in my area, but a lot of snow on the mountains. I like your comment on the "plastic palm trees", lol. Snow didn't last long, but it did snow! Beautiful picture, by the way.

One of my bloggers saw a Robin this week. Hooray. Just wanted to let you know that I will be making some of your patterns this year. I am excited.

In Chicagoland (Illinois) we just got about 21 inches of snow this past week. It's starting to melt a bit, but in the meantime, my older son has been enjoying building snow forts and such!

Snow is not a common thing here in California. The weather has changed since posting those pics, we are in the mid 70's now, which is our norm. We had a severe cold spell at that time, fortunately it has passed, lol. We are spoiled here, not used to that kind of cold.
